Corstorphine Chiropractic
April 2026
Things have been blooming around here this April. As always, the change in weather can lead to some aches and pains from gardening, golf, bowling, and all the outdoor activities that come with Spring. While it may be tempting to jump right back into the routine you had in September, it's often best to ease into it. Gradually work your way back to your prior level of activity. Make sure to take time for warming up and cooling down, or stretching afterwards. Additionally, if you do experience an injury, you don't have to wait for your next scheduled appointment; you can easily reschedule it through the app or by phone
Great news! We are continuing our regular hours during the Easter holidays. Even more exciting, our Saturday clinic will be open. We might also have some sweet treats available to keep you energised if needed.
Community Corner

The clinic has always strived to help to support groups and events within the local community. We believe that community is a huge part of why we do what we do. We thought it would be a great idea to shine a spotlight on some of the local initiatives we've been involved with .
First up is the Corstorphine Dynamo football community. We've been sponsoring the 2018 team for a year now and it's lovely to see what a difference it makes to the kids.
Corstorphine Dynamo – Building a Community Through Football

Corstorphine Dynamo is one of Edinburgh's fastest‑growing and most exciting community football clubs. Formed in 2015, the club has rapidly expanded to become home to more than 600 players, ranging from our toddler groups all the way through to our over‑35s squad, a walking football team, and both Girls' and Women's teams. The club's growth reflects a simple but powerful commitment: creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy football, stay active, and feel part of something bigger.

A major milestone for the club has been securing the long‑term lease of Tall Oaks Football Pitch. This has allowed Dynamo to begin an ambitious regeneration project to transform the facility into a community hub. The vision goes far beyond football. Once complete, Tall Oaks will support every department within the club, provide new employment opportunities, and serve as a flexible space for local groups, families, and small businesses. It's a development designed not only to improve football provision in the area but to give the wider community a place to connect, grow, and feel proud of.

Within the club, our 2018-born team has shown incredible progress and enthusiasm. We now have 36 players, each bringing their own energy, personality, and passion to training each week. This season, the squad has moved into 5‑a‑side football after last year's Fun 4s format, and the step up has been a brilliant opportunity for the kids to challenge themselves, adapt, and grow their understanding of the game.

Our coaching approach is centered around enjoyment and development. Above all, we want the children to love playing football. We pride ourselves on being fully inclusive, welcoming players of all backgrounds and ability levels, and giving every child the opportunity to flourish at their own pace. Whether they are taking their first touches or showing a natural talent, the focus is always the same: helping them gain confidence, develop new skills, build friendships, and stay active in a supportive and positive environment.

As coaches, we work hard to create sessions that are engaging, fun, and varied. We emphasise teamwork, respect, creativity on the ball, and the importance of staying active both physically and socially. It's extremely rewarding to see how far the 2018 group has come already — not just in their footballing ability, but in their communication, resilience, and understanding of what it means to be part of a team.

We're proud of the progress the kids are making and equally grateful for the support of local businesses, families, and community partners who help make opportunities like this possible. Partnerships such as ours play a crucial role in keeping grassroots football thriving and ensuring that young players have access to positive, healthy environments where they can grow.
